This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Execute advanced repairs, inspections, and commissioning of mining machinery.
• Diagnose and address intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical challenges.
• Offer technical assistance and suggest enhancements for equipment.
• Generate service reports, failure analyses, and associated documentation.
• Maintain service tools and equipment to guarantee safe and effective field operations.
• Oversee field service tasks and provide technical direction to technicians.
• Train, mentor, and guide team members on service protocols and best practices.
• Assist in work planning, task management, and quality execution.
• Establish strong customer relationships through professional and responsive service.
• Advocate for safety, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
• Engage in internal and customer meetings, whether on-site or off-site, as necessary.
• Adhere to safety policies and all relevant regulations and requirements.
• Identify and report unsafe work practices, incidents, and near misses.
• Perform a “Take Five” risk assessment prior to commencing each task.
• Keep a tidy work area and comply with housekeeping standards.
• Participate in environmental, health, and safety training.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment for each task.
• Relevant trade certification (Red Seal certification is advantageous).
• A minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience with mining equipment is beneficial.
• Prior experience with this type of machinery is advantageous.
• Common Core training is beneficial.
• Exceptional capability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical problems on mining machinery.
• Previous leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience is advantageous.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in computer use, including the MS Office suite.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to local mining sites and across Canada as necessary.
• Ability and readiness to work variable schedules as required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
