This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Carry out advanced repairs, inspections, and commissioning of mining equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical challenges.
• Offer technical support and suggest enhancements for equipment.
• Create service reports, failure analyses, and other relevant documentation.
• Maintain service tools and equipment to guarantee safe and efficient field operations.
• Oversee field service tasks and provide technical guidance to technicians.
• Train, mentor, and coach team members on service techniques and best practices.
• Assist in work planning, task coordination, and quality assurance.
• Foster strong customer relationships through professional and responsive service.
• Advocate for safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in internal and client meetings, whether on-site or off-site, as required.
• Adhere to safety policies, regulations, and requirements.
• Identify and report unsafe practices, incidents, and near misses; perform a risk assessment prior to each task.
• Maintain hand tools and equipment to ensure their safe usage.
• Keep the work area organized and meet housekeeping standards.
• Engage in environmental, health, and safety training.
• Utilize the necessary personal protective equipment for each task.
• Relevant trade certification (Red Seal certification is advantageous).
• At least 3 years of pertinent experience with mining equipment is preferred.
• Prior experience with this type of equipment is beneficial.
• Common Core training is advantageous.
• Exceptional ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Proven capability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues on mining equipment.
• Previous experience in leadership, mentoring, or team lead roles is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with the MS Office suite.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel to local mining sites and across Canada, as needed.
• Flexibility and willingness to work varying schedules, as required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
