This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a player-coach within the ANI Rare Disease Patient Support team, balancing direct patient access duties with the daily leadership of reimbursement professionals.
• Foster operational excellence and ensure consistent execution across patient cases.
• Oversee a portfolio of intricate or escalated patient cases.
• Provide frontline leadership, coaching, and supervision for Reimbursement Directors, Reimbursement Managers, Reimbursement Specialists, and Field Case Specialists.
• Serve as the primary point of escalation for reimbursement-related challenges.
• Deliver proactive education to healthcare providers regarding insurance requirements and payer policies related to ANI Rare Disease Business Unit brands.
• Manage complex reimbursement cases through direct interaction with healthcare provider offices and patients.
• Collaborate with Hub case managers and in-network Specialty Pharmacies on prior authorization submissions and follow-ups.
• Facilitate access to patient assistance programs, including copay support and free goods.
• Coordinate with Nurse Access Specialists on patient support initiatives.
• Partner with Market Access to analyze payer trends, policy updates, and access barriers.
• Work together with Sales on field education and account strategy while adhering to compliance guidelines.
• Act as a subject matter expert in reimbursement and access.
• Monitor team productivity, workload distribution, case quality, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist with onboarding and continual team development.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, team meetings, case reviews, and development discussions.
• Exemplify professionalism, ethical conduct, and compliance.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 10 years of experience in a patient access role for specialty medications.
• Proven expertise with both pharmacy and medical benefits in a specialty disease market.
• Strong collaboration skills with Hub partners and cross-functional colleagues.
• Familiarity with OIG guidance, HIPAA regulations, and FDA protocols.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including some evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
• Capacity to prioritize competing demands while managing both individual contributor and leadership responsibilities.
• Problem-solving skills in ambiguous or challenging access scenarios.
