This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead and influence initiatives focused on optimizing technology costs and realizing value at an enterprise level.

• Define and enhance the strategy and roadmap for IT cost optimization.

• Identify avenues to boost cost efficiency, productivity, and value delivery in product and technology expenditures.

• Impact investment prioritization and make portfolio-level trade-off decisions.

• Collaborate with leaders in IT, Finance, and supplier management to propel strategic initiatives.

• Create financial models, conduct scenario analyses, and evaluate unit economics for strategic options and investments.

• Convert complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and executive forums.

• Anticipate and communicate business implications, risks, and trade-offs.

• Establish and standardize methodologies, frameworks, and best practices for cost transparency, unit costing, and financial governance.

• Integrate TBM and FinOps insights into planning, forecasting, and operational management.

• Develop scalable tools, playbooks, and metrics, including cost per service and cost per user.

• Educate and guide leaders on financial management practices.

• Design and implement governance frameworks for visibility into cost, value, and performance.

• Create measurement approaches and controls to monitor benefits and accountability.

• Foster transparency regarding technology consumption, cost drivers, and financial performance.

• Deliver structured reporting for leadership oversight and informed decision-making.

• Lead intricate cross-functional initiatives and multidisciplinary workstreams.

• Act as a trusted advisor and primary contact for senior IT and business leaders.

• Align stakeholders around methodologies, assumptions, and execution plans.

• Cultivate relationships to influence outcomes without direct authority.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• 8–10 years of experience in finance or management consulting.

• Extensive experience in IT financial management, cost optimization, and operating model transformation.

• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, cost analysis, and unit economics.

• In-depth knowledge of IT financial management practices, including budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, and capital investment analysis.

• Strong understanding of Technology Business Management (TBM), encompassing cost transparency, service costing, and consumption-based financial management.

• Familiarity with technology cost drivers and best practices for optimization.

• Proven ability to address ambiguous, high-impact business challenges.

• Capability to connect financial insights with enterprise strategy.

• Exceptional communication and influencing skills at the executive level.

• Track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.

• Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data modeling tools like Alteryx.

• Familiarity with TBM/financial management and planning platforms such as Apptio One and TargetProcess.

• Knowledge of enterprise systems such as ERP, Service Desk, or HR tools.

• Occasional travel may be necessary.

• Must meet requirements for criminal background, employment, education, and licensing verification.
