This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take ownership of the calendar, preparation, review, and timely submission of federal, state, local, and other relevant tax returns for Tradeify entities.
β’ Coordinate tax provision and associated accounting functions, including current and deferred tax calculations, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement disclosures.
β’ Oversee indirect tax responsibilities and assess nexus, registration, filing, and compliance requirements as the business grows.
β’ Collaborate with external tax advisors while maintaining internal accountability for deliverables, data integrity, deadlines, and conclusions.
β’ Conduct research and document tax positions, keep up with regulatory changes, and convert updates into clear business actions.
β’ Assist with entity structuring, new product launches, geographic expansion, and other business initiatives through practical tax analysis.
β’ Lead the responses to tax notices, inquiries, and audits while ensuring organized supporting documentation is maintained.
β’ Develop and enhance tax controls, policies, workpapers, and data flows to mitigate risk and streamline recurring processes.
β’ Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, Payroll, Finance, and Operations on tax-sensitive transactions and reporting obligations.
β’ Ensure accuracy and timeliness in tax filings, payments, provisions, and supporting schedules.
β’ Proactively identify tax risks and planning opportunities and communicate them effectively.
β’ Deliver timely and practical advice for new initiatives and transactions.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
β’ A minimum of five years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, industry, or a blend of both.
β’ In-depth understanding of U.S. federal and multi-state corporate tax compliance and tax accounting principles.
β’ Proven experience managing multiple entities, deadlines, advisors, and complex source data with a high level of accuracy.
β’ Proficient in researching technical issues, documenting conclusions, and communicating recommendations to non-tax stakeholders.
β’ Strong project management capabilities and the ability to create structure within a dynamic organization.
β’ CPA, active CPA candidacy, or advanced degree in taxation is preferred.
β’ Experience in fintech, financial services, technology, or another high-growth, regulated sector is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with NetSuite and tax provision or compliance software is preferred.
β’ Exposure to international tax, transfer pricing, or cross-border operations is preferred.
β’ Must be prepared to disclose if visa sponsorship is required to maintain work authorization.
β’ Must be willing to work flexible hours to support collaboration across time zones, including the U.S.
β’ Must declare if they have previously worked for a proprietary trading firm.
β’ Contribute to establishing the financial infrastructure of a rapidly growing fintech company.
β’ Engage in meaningful work with direct visibility across Finance, Operations, Product, and leadership.
