This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +20 more states.
• Perform comprehensive legal research and create and refine clear, concise, analytical, and practical tax legal content.
• Manage the licensing and procurement of content aimed at CPAs and accountants.
• Create and sustain content tailored for CPAs and accounting professionals.
• Evaluate legislation, case law, rules/regulations, legal news, and related documentation.
• Author and edit articles and commentaries addressing current tax issues for practicing attorneys.
• Ensure that all content is accurate, clear, consistent, and adheres to legal and editorial standards.
• Leverage generative and agentic AI, along with automation and data, to enhance content development and editorial workflows.
• Formulate prompts, assess AI outputs, and refine for optimal outcomes.
• Monitor developments and trends in tax law, accounting, and associated technologies.
• Work collaboratively with Editorial Directors, Legal Editors, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Aid in the strategy and execution of content development, licensing, and procurement.
• Cultivate expertise in the ecosystems of accounting and tax law practitioners.
• Identify and recruit authors and contractors; seek out firms, propose projects, and negotiate contracts.
• Contribute to product pilots, evaluations of tools and processes, and the development of standards.
• Juris Doctor degree is required; a specialized tax law degree is preferred.
• Substantial accounting experience is mandatory.
• CPA designation is REQUIRED.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax legal practice or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience or equivalent.
• EBEC experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical, legal, and accounting research skills, along with original writing abilities.
• Capable of interpreting AI outputs and incorporating insights into legal content development.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience utilizing LLMs for drafting, summarizing, and editing/revising tasks.
• Familiarity with Lexis+, Lexis+ AI, Protege, or other legal research tools is highly preferred.
• Experience with Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
• Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and relationship-building.
