This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +20 more states.
• Perform thorough legal research and produce clear, concise, analytical, and practical tax legal documentation.
• Manage the licensing and acquisition of content for CPAs and accountants.
• Create and sustain content aimed at CPAs and accounting professionals.
• Examine and interpret legislation, case law, rules/regulations, legal news, and related materials.
• Write and refine articles and commentaries on current tax topics for practicing attorneys.
• Ensure precision, clarity, consistency, and adherence to legal and editorial standards.
• Utilize generative and agentic AI, automation, and data to enhance content creation and editorial workflows.
• Develop prompts, assess AI outputs, and iterate to achieve the best results.
• Monitor changes and trends in tax law, accounting, and associated technologies.
• Work collaboratively with Editorial Directors, Legal Editors, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Define the scope, outline, draft, edit, and perform quality checks on analytical and practical content.
• Aid in content development, licensing, and procurement strategies and implementation.
• Cultivate expertise in accounting and tax law practitioner markets and ecosystems.
• Identify and recruit authors and contractors; approach firms and individuals, pitch projects, and negotiate contracts.
• Participate in product pilots, tool and process evaluations, and the development of standards.
• Juris Doctor is mandatory; an advanced degree in tax law is preferred.
• Substantial accounting experience is necessary.
• CPA designation is REQUIRED.
• Minimum of 2 years of tax legal practice experience or an equivalent background.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience or an equivalent background.
• Experience with EBEC is preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical, legal, and accounting research and original writing capabilities.
• Ability to interpret AI outputs and incorporate insights into the creation of legal content.
• Professional experience in tax-specific legal and accounting analysis and writing is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with using LLMs for drafting, summarizing, and editing/revising content.
• Experience with Lexis+, Lexis+ AI, Protege, or other legal research tools is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
• Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and relationship-building.
