This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Assist in coordinating the University’s initiatives aimed at attracting, welcoming, developing, and retaining employees.
• Design, assess, and enhance the university-wide onboarding program while maintaining onboarding resources, supervisor checklists, and 30/60/90-day tools.
• Create and sustain annual training plans for employees and supervisors.
• Develop and manage supervisor development programs that encompass hiring, onboarding, communication, coaching, documentation, performance management, recognition, conflict resolution, and challenging conversations.
• Organize leadership and professional development opportunities while facilitating training sessions.
• Keep training materials and participation records updated and assess the effectiveness of programs.
• Oversee the annual performance evaluation process, including timelines, communications, forms or workflows, and tracking completion.
• Provide training for supervisors and employees on goal setting, feedback, evaluations, and development planning.
• Collaborate with HR on critical performance issues, corrective actions, and performance improvement strategies.
• Create and coordinate employee recognition and appreciation initiatives.
• Organize engagement surveys, pulse surveys, stay interviews, and other listening activities.
• Analyze feedback and workforce trends to identify actionable steps aimed at enhancing engagement and retention.
• Assist in developing career paths, job families, and career development resources while promoting internal mobility.
• Support development planning, mentoring, cross-training, succession planning, and the growth of future leaders.
• Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process for staff roles from job posting to accepted offer.
• Collaborate with hiring managers on position requirements, job postings, recruitment sources, search procedures, interview questions, and selection criteria.
• Maintain applicant tracking systems and communicate with candidates and hiring managers.
• Organize reference checks, background screenings, offer documentation, and other pre-employment procedures.
• Maintain recruitment records while monitoring vacancies, time-to-fill metrics, applicant sources, and offer acceptance rates.
• Manage talent program records, analyze HR data and employee feedback, prepare reports and recommendations, and work collaboratively across Human Resources.
• Stay informed on talent management trends and higher education employment practices, recommending enhancements as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, talent management, recruiting, learning and development, employee engagement, or a related field.
• Proven experience in coordinating multiple HR programs or projects from the planning stage through to implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and supervisors across all levels.
• Sound judgment and the capability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Strong organizational abilities with a knack for managing multiple priorities and recurring deadlines.
• Experience in a college or university setting is preferred.
• Background in developing supervisor or leadership training programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking, performance management, learning, or HRIS systems is preferred.
• Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
