Learning Experience Designer – Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the detailed design, development, production, and quality assurance for designated workstreams and appropriately defined projects.

• Collaborate effectively with Learning Solutions Consultants, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and project team members.

• Convert identified needs and agreed-upon solution directions into comprehensive learning designs and ready-to-use instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, and blended learning experiences.

• Utilize independent instructional judgment to make informed design decisions.

• Create, develop, and uphold facilitator guides, resource guides, job aids, storyboards, e-learning modules, assessments, practice activities, multimedia assets, and associated learning materials.

• Implement AI-enhanced and agentic production workflows for drafting, content transformation, asset creation, version comparison, and preliminary quality assessments.

• Compile and deliver final production files using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Articulate, Sana or successor learning platforms, and other sanctioned production environments.

• Ensure accuracy, source fidelity, instructional integrity, accessibility, usability, visual quality, technical readiness, and compliance prior to delivery.

• Oversee appropriately defined projects and workstreams, including maintenance, updates, large-scale content revisions, and handoff of editable source files.

• Contribute reusable production practices, AI workflow structures, templates, and insights gained.

• Participate in assessment, pilot, and evaluation initiatives using learner, stakeholder, quality, and performance data.

• Undertake additional duties as required or as they arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in adult education, instructional design, learning experience design, communications, or a related field, along with typically four (4) or more years of relevant learning design or development experience.

• OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and proven capability.

• Strong practical knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, assessment, accessibility, and virtual and blended learning methodologies.

• Proven ability to design and develop instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, and blended learning resources.

• Demonstrated, immediate capability in utilizing generative AI and agentic production workflows, as evidenced through a portfolio, work sample, or similar applied-work documentation.

• Proven proficiency in producing high-quality learning materials using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, as well as at least one e-learning authoring platform like Articulate Storyline or Rise.

• Capability to write and edit clear, concise learning content, including facilitator guidance, scripts, assessments, activities, and performance-support resources.

• Ability to independently review learning materials for accuracy, source fidelity, accessibility, usability, production quality, and readiness for delivery.

• Capacity to manage multiple production priorities, adhere to deadlines, communicate risks and dependencies, and collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders.

• A Master's degree in adult education, instructional design, learning experience design, organizational development, or a related field (additional qualification).

• Familiarity with visual and multimedia design principles.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications is a plus.

• Experience in supporting evaluation, measurement, accessibility review, or quality assurance for learning products.

• Experience in facilitating instructor-led or virtual learning sessions.

• Experience in reviewing vendor-created or externally developed learning resources.
