This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Partners to comprehend candidate profiles, hiring priorities, and sourcing requirements.
• Formulate and implement focused sourcing strategies across various functions such as Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, G&A, and more.
• Identify and connect with passive talent using various sourcing channels, research methods, communities, networks, and innovative approaches.
• Handle multiple searches and modify strategies based on pipeline performance, candidate feedback, and shifting priorities.
• Gain an understanding of Tailscale’s products, technologies, business model, and culture to pinpoint suitable candidates.
• Convert technical and specialized role requirements into effective search strategies.
• Conduct research on companies, technologies, communities, and talent pools.
• Enhance knowledge of talent markets in areas such as infrastructure, networking, security, developer tools, and cloud technologies.
• Assess pipeline health and search obstacles by utilizing sourcing data and market insights.
• Perform talent research and market mapping.
• Provide insights on candidate availability, market trends, and search limitations.
• Create reusable talent maps and conduct research.
• Implement inclusive sourcing practices to broaden candidate representation.
• Design personalized outreach strategies and nurture relationships with passive candidates.
• Evaluate candidate interest, motivation, experience, and potential alignment with the organization.
• Ensure smooth candidate transitions and maintain a consistent candidate experience.
• Work in collaboration with Talent Acquisition Partners, Sourcers, Operations, and hiring teams.
• Engage in sourcing jams to share techniques, talent pools, market insights, and learning experiences.
• Assist in high-priority or specialized searches.
• Optimize sourcing tools, workflows, data quality, automation, and AI-driven practices.
• Over 3 years of experience in talent sourcing and/or recruiting.
• Background in high-growth technology companies or similarly competitive talent landscapes.
• Proven experience in sourcing technical talent across various functions, including Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, or G&A.
• Proficiency in understanding complex or unfamiliar roles and translating candidate requirements into effective sourcing strategies.
• Strong research capabilities and sourcing techniques that extend beyond basic keyword, title, or traditional platform searches.
• Skills in passive candidate engagement and personalized outreach.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple searches and utilize sourcing data to assess pipeline effectiveness.
• Familiarity with sourcing platforms and ATS technology.
• Interest in AI, automation, and emerging sourcing tools.
