This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead and develop the recruitment team.
• Manage, coach, and nurture three recruiters.
• Establish clear expectations and growth trajectories for recruiters.
• Foster a team culture that emphasizes consistency, candidate experience, and accountability.
• Take ownership of team capacity planning and workload distribution.
• Design and execute standardized intake, screening, and interview processes.
• Define robust hiring standards and create structured scorecards and interview kits.
• Develop screening criteria for skills suited to a distributed environment, including written communication, self-direction, and collaboration.
• Train and coach hiring managers on structured interviewing and unbiased evaluation techniques.
• Oversee sourcing, referrals, talent pools, and various recruiting channels.
• Establish sourcing expectations and monitor pipeline volume and conversion rates.
• Build talent pipelines in anticipation of demand based on the workforce plan.
• Collaborate with Marketing and People teams on employer branding initiatives.
• Set up ATS data foundations and establish recruiting metrics.
• Develop leadership dashboards while ensuring data hygiene.
• Collaborate with senior leaders on hiring forecasts, prioritization, and timelines.
• Connect recruitment execution with workforce planning and onboarding processes.
• Manage day-to-day talent acquisition operations.
• Coordinate the transition from offer acceptance to first day with onboarding teams.
• Ensure compliance with employment and human rights legislation.
• Advocate for inclusive, bias-aware hiring practices.
• Oversee the ATS and recruiting technology stack.
• Assess automation, AI, and tool integrations.
• Guarantee a consistent candidate experience.
• Manage recruiting vendors and the associated budget.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in talent acquisition, specifically in developing a recruiting team.
• Proven success in building or restructuring a talent acquisition function, including establishing interview frameworks, hiring standards, and recruiting metrics from the ground up.
• Demonstrated ability to build a strong top-of-funnel pipeline through sourcing, referrals, and talent pooling, as well as coaching a team to achieve similar results.
• Strong proficiency in recruiting data management and ATS administration.
• Capability to transform disorganized or unreliable data into accurate and trustworthy reporting.
• Experience in training and influencing hiring managers on structured and inclusive interviewing practices.
• Comfort in operating as an execution and data owner within a broader talent strategy.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management.
• Good judgment in prioritizing a build-phase roadmap amidst real hiring pressures.
• Experience in a scaling mid-sized organization (approximately 200-1000 employees) is a plus.
