This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop, research, and identify potential talent to establish qualified candidate pipelines.
• Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers regarding job-opening specifications.
• Define, refine, implement, and communicate recruiting search strategies.
• Provide expertise in specific regions, lines of business, functions, and technologies.
• Analyze talent trends within industries, products, and geographies.
• Identify suitable recruiting sources for advertising and posting job openings.
• Enhance the company's image to candidates and external service providers.
• Document and assess recruiting and candidate interview procedures.
• Negotiate or assist hiring managers in formulating new-hire compensation packages and offers.
• Conduct technical recruiting and specialized executive searches.
• Manage tools, resources, and technologies utilized for talent identification.
• Collaborate with agencies, recruiting contractors, and internet representatives on employment advertising campaigns.
• Work closely with hiring managers to establish search parameters and provide market insights along with talent analytics.
• Identify talent-rich recruitment areas and build pipelines of top-tier candidates.
• Develop pipelines for critical skills and future organizational requirements.
• Oversee applicant flow by reviewing, dispositioning, and advancing resumes.
• Create and implement sourcing strategies, pre-screen candidates, and present pre-qualified diverse candidates.
• Ensure recruiting efforts are unbiased, compliant with policies and legislation, and aligned with best practices in applicant tracking, interviewing, and hiring.
• Interview candidates and facilitate or participate in selection decisions.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define interview-team roles and assign competencies using technical and behavioral interviewing models.
• Expand networks, build relationships, and attend networking events to identify talent.
• Provide weekly and ad hoc updates to Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and business partners.
• Participate in the selection of outside search partners when necessary.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, compensation teams, and hiring managers on job-offer recommendations, approvals, and delivery.
• Assist with employee referral, employer branding, interviewer training, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• May support college recruiting, affirmative action, and career development programs.
• May assist with immigration processes as a liaison with immigration attorneys.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• BS/BA degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience, training, or certifications, along with 6+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and 4+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of best practices within the functional discipline and familiarity with broader underlying concepts of related business disciplines.
• Capacity to enhance tools and processes within the functional area.
• Ability to work as part of and lead multiple teams.
• Leadership skills and the ability to typically lead lower levels and/or indirect teams.
• Excellent computer proficiency.
• Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking abilities.
• Ability to comprehend the broader organizational impact across departments/divisions.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines across various projects/programs with precision and efficiency.
• Excellent project management capabilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry.
• Experience delivering full-cycle recruitment services.
• Experience collaborating and negotiating with external search partners.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to source and attract qualified candidates through unique methods.
• Expertise in utilizing social media and search tools such as LinkedIn.
• Experience with ATS systems.
• Superior selection skills and proficiency in evaluating individuals.
• Skills in persuading, influencing, negotiating, and consulting.
• Stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with organizational leaders.
• Proven ability to nurture successful internal and external relationships.
