Tableau Product Manager – BI Platform Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of Tableau as an enterprise platform, overseeing content architecture, governance, published data sources, permissions, and the publisher lifecycle.

• Identify and resolve dashboard performance issues related to slow extracts, queries, and workbook design.

• Establish, document, and enforce best practices within a large community of content authors and publishers.

• Develop and manage enablement programs such as office hours, documentation, and community initiatives.

• Gain insight into what each business function creates in Tableau and predict demand to influence the platform roadmap.

• Collaborate with engineering to enhance Tableau with AI features, including Tableau MCP, custom Tableau skills, and agent integrations.

• Contribute to defining the strategy for governed BI versus dynamically generated dashboards, taking into account token cost, latency, guardrails, and security.

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering by identifying underlying issues and translating them into clear platform initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive working knowledge of Tableau as a platform, covering content architecture, governance, published data sources, permissions, and the publisher lifecycle.

• Practical experience in dashboard performance tuning, including diagnosing and rectifying slow extracts, queries, and workbook design.

• Proven experience in defining and enforcing best practices within a large community of content authors, along with providing supporting enablement materials.

• Understanding of what various business functions create in Tableau and the ability to anticipate demand effectively.

• Familiarity with Tableau MCP and experience in building or deploying Tableau skills or agent integrations.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Willingness to work during Pacific Time (PT) hours, ensuring meaningful daily overlap with the team.

• Must be based in the Americas.

• Proficient in professional English, both spoken and written, suitable for stakeholder meetings.
