Systems Engineer – VeloCloud SD-WAN, SD-Branch

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical Systems Engineer for designated MSP/SP accounts.

• Foster relationships with stakeholders across technical, operational, executive, product management, sales, marketing, operations, service assurance, and NOC.

• Assist partners in designing, packaging, launching, scaling, and operationalizing SD-WAN and SD-Branch managed services.

• Create and deliver customized enablement programs for MSP/SP sales, marketing, operations, NOC/support, and product management teams.

• Integrate VeloCloud SD-Branch into OSS/BSS systems, service assurance platforms, and delivery processes.

• Guide the utilization of VeloCloud REST APIs, logging and metric export, and multi-tenant orchestration features.

• Collaborate with MSP/SP sales teams through technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and customer workshops.

• Lead solution design, RFx technical submissions, and Proofs of Concept.

• Work together on managed services utilizing Arista campus switching, wireless, and security offerings.

• Provide structured feedback from the MSP/SP channel to Arista's Product Management and Engineering teams.

• Represent Arista at industry events, MSP-focused forums, partner-led customer events, and conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in WAN, networking, or cloud services.

• A portion of that experience must be in Service Provider or Managed Service Provider environments.

• Knowledge of routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.

• Familiarity with WAN technologies and SD-WAN.

• Experience in supporting pre-sales activities, such as technical presentations, solution design, and PoCs.

• Capability to build long-term relationships and credibility with various MSP/SP stakeholders.

• Strong communication, listening, and presentation skills.

• Proficient in Linux, hypervisors, cloud computing, and operational tools for logs, metrics, events, and alerts.

• Experience with automation frameworks and scripting, including REST APIs, Python, and Ansible, is advantageous.

• Understanding of Service Provider routing environments, such as MPLS VPN and Segment Routing (SR).

• Previous experience working with or supporting MSP/SP organizations is a plus.

• Experience in co-developing or enabling managed service offerings is a significant advantage.

• Network Industry Certification is beneficial.
