This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Comprehend intricate technical systems architecture and provide suggestions for enhancement.
• Design and sustain solutions for production systems environments.
• Conduct Linux engineering and administration for numerous bare metal servers and virtual machines.
• Diagnose server hardware problems.
• Assist in large-scale production deployments of servers and applications within internal datacenters.
• Create and modify moderately complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, and alerts.
• Engage in an on-call rotation alongside other team members.
• Travel for 2-3 business-related trips annually for team meetings.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Familiarity with Bare Metal Orchestration services (OpenStack, Canonical MaaS, etc.).
• Proficient in Linux engineering and administration for a significant number of bare metal and virtual machines.
• Experience with deployment and management of container orchestration services (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (OpenStack Nova, VMWare ESXi).
• Proficiency in CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins.
• Experience in configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, and Salt.
• Background in working on projects of varying scales.
• Skill in writing technical documentation.
• Over 3 years of engineering experience, ideally in a production environment.
• Willingness to travel for 2-3 business-related trips per year for team meetings.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI technologies to improve decision-making, optimize workflows and processes, enhance efficiency, and drive business results.
• Understanding of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Knowledge of bare metal provisioning technologies like Canonical MaaS and OpenStack.
• Familiarity with Linux Operating systems, including Ubuntu and RedHat.
• Understanding of the OSI model.
• Knowledge of block storage solutions, such as TrueNAS.
• Proficient in container systems like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring solutions, such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix.
• Knowledge of CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, and Salt.
• Awareness of threat intelligence and mobile technology is a plus.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
