This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments across enterprise servers, applications, and infrastructure utilizing tools such as Tenable Nessus, Qualys, and Rapid7.
• Evaluate scan results, determine risk levels, confirm findings, and prioritize remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with system owners and engineering teams to coordinate remediation actions.
• Design, implement, and manage a vulnerability management program.
• Monitor, report, and maintain remediation metrics for leadership review.
• Apply and verify security patches, operating system updates, and software enhancements on Windows and Linux enterprise servers.
• Work alongside infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams to address vulnerabilities while minimizing operational disruption.
• Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, and DISA STIG standards.
• Create and manage patch baselines, golden images, and configuration standards.
• Document vulnerability management procedures and develop runbooks.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts, security audits, assessments, and reporting activities.
• Assist federal clients in establishing and sustaining a Zero Trust architecture.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active SECRET clearance.
• US citizenship is mandatory.
• Capability to address complex IT issues.
• Established history in IT security, vulnerability management, or system administration.
• Practical experience with vulnerability scanning tools.
• Familiarity with patch management and associated tools/solutions.
• Solid understanding of Windows and Linux server administration.
• Knowledge of CVSS scoring, CVE tracking, and vulnerability prioritization.
• Understanding of networking principles, firewalls, and enterprise security practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with Federal and Department of Defense clients is preferred.
