This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design Special Systems, which encompass Telecom, Security, Information Technology, and various low-voltage systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to seamlessly integrate Special Systems into comprehensive project designs.
• Assist Design Leads and Project Managers during all phases including planning, design, bidding, and construction administration.
• Engage in project meetings, design evaluations, on-site investigations, and client interactions.
• Create synchronized Revit models, construction documents, engineering schematics, layouts, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Develop and manage engineering design packages to align with project timelines and delivery goals.
• Assess production outputs for quality, coordination, completeness, and feasibility before formal QA/QC evaluations.
• Offer technical direction and mentorship to junior designers in engineering production, Revit processes, and documentation standards.
• Aid in the preparation of technical specifications, cost estimates, shop drawing assessments, RFIs, and construction assistance.
• Contribute to the advancement and ongoing enhancement of Special Systems design standards, documentation methods, and production workflows.
• A minimum of an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Information Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• At least eight (8) years of progressive experience in Special Systems design and Revit/CAD production.
• Familiarity with Special Systems engineering, including Telecom, Security, Passenger Systems, Information Technology, and other low-voltage systems.
• A solid understanding of engineering design processes from planning through to construction administration.
• Outstanding communication, coordination, and organizational abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
• Experience in generating coordinated engineering construction documents for complex projects.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Preferred familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, or similar coordination tools.
• Experience in aviation or transportation projects is preferred.
• Proven expertise in developing Revit-based construction documents for complex projects.
• Preferred, but not mandatory, certifications such as RCDD, PSP, CTS, NICET, CCNA, Autodesk Certified Professional, PMP, or other relevant industry credentials.
