This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee and provide support for systems within the organization.
• Collaborate with fellow Engineers and various departments on technology upkeep and projects.
• Install, monitor, and manage operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Ensure optimal levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Monitor and assess application performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions.
• Maintain strategies for backups, security, and redundancy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and technical issues.
• Manage server and application components during maintenance windows.
• Update firmware and necessary device profiles.
• Engage in quality control procedures.
• Support and maintain a high-availability environment in accordance with company standards.
• Collaborate with the security team to assess and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the testing and implementation of IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate with vendors and IT staff to resolve issues.
• Participate in team projects and fulfill deliverables.
• Maintain documentation for the company’s systems and applications.
• Deliver efficient and accurate service while adhering to deadlines.
• Report on project status, activities, and accomplishments to supervisors and team members.
• Respond to critical system issues during and after business hours.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Core technologies include Windows 10 OS, MS Server 2012/2019, and VMWare vSphere and Horizon View management.
• Experience managing Active Directory Users and Computers, Group Policy Objects, groups, and nested groups.
• Familiarity with software licensing and hardware support.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting, including DNS, TCP/IP, VLANS, NetBIOS, switching/routing, and fiber channel.
• Experience with basic O365 fundamentals and administration.
• Knowledge and experience with basic scripting such as MS-DOS batch files and PowerShell.
• Any experience related to Mobile Device Management is a plus.
• Experience in troubleshooting and customer support for complex technical issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize requests and projects based on impact and urgency.
• Highly organized with effective follow-up skills.
• Capability to handle sensitive and confidential matters and materials professionally.
• Customer service oriented.
• A team player who can earn the trust and support of colleagues and facilitate cross-functional solutions.
• Certification is a plus (VCP5+, CCA, MCSE, MCITP, NCDA, NCSA).
• Required to sit for extended periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds.
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform job functions.
