Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Deliver level 3 support for all Managed Services clients, focusing primarily on servers and their associated services.

• Diagnose and resolve issues within systems and infrastructure for managed services customers.

• Proactively identify and address problems within customer infrastructure environments.

• Engage with clients and stakeholders to comprehend business needs and convert them into technical solutions.

• Collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization to ensure positive outcomes for customers.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in managed services.

• Create and maintain documentation related to systems and infrastructure.

• Participate in the paid on-call roster and be available for occasional paid overtime.

• Mentor and nurture junior team members, promoting their learning and professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineer with expertise in servers and hypervisors.

• Experience in Microsoft SQL administration is a plus.

• Strong communication skills when addressing technical challenges.

• Ability to maintain composure and clarity while providing explanations of issues and preventive actions.

• Genuine interest in technology and eagerness to learn about new solutions and concepts.

• Positive attitude and proactive mindset.

• Proven history of assisting others in resolving technical problems.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Knowledge or certifications in Linux SUSE or similar systems are highly valued.

• Strong familiarity with ticketing systems is advantageous.

• Possession of Microsoft and other relevant industry certifications.

• A valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check are required.

• Availability to work from 8:30–5 AWST or 10:30–7 AEDT.
