This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize systems, integration, reliability, and test engineering expertise to tackle technically challenging issues related to physical products and hardware systems.
• Analyze and assess system requirements, interfaces, integration strategies, verification methods, testing procedures, qualification techniques, reliability evaluations, and manufacturing test workflows.
• Examine system-level interactions across electrical, mechanical, firmware/software, thermal, controls, and manufacturing disciplines.
• Evaluate the technical validity and practical implementation of engineering solutions, testing strategies, troubleshooting methods, and system-level choices.
• Investigate integration failures to determine root causes, interface problems, design flaws, reliability concerns, manufacturing defects, and gaps in testing coverage.
• Create or review engineering challenges, reference solutions, test cases, verification criteria, failure analyses, and technical documentation.
• Leverage experience in prototype integration, bring-up, verification and validation, qualification, environmental testing, reliability testing, production testing, and field failure investigation.
• Deliver clear technical insights based on practical hardware development, testing, and production experience.
• Engage in AI research initiatives that enhance the reasoning capabilities of advanced AI systems regarding complex systems, interfaces, verification and validation, troubleshooting, reliability, manufacturing, and hardware failures.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems, integration, reliability, or test engineering.
• At least 3 years of recent, hands-on experience in hardware integration, testing, validation, qualification, failure analysis, manufacturing testing, or troubleshooting.
• Experience as the lead engineer for complex physical systems or hardware solutions.
• Strong technical knowledge in at least one core area: systems engineering and requirements/V&V; hardware integration and testing; reliability engineering and failure analysis; or manufacturing/production test engineering.
• Solid practical understanding of requirements traceability, interface management, verification and validation, test planning, FMEA/FMECA, fault isolation, root-cause analysis, reliability, qualification, environmental testing, design-for-test, manufacturing yield, and system-level failure modes.
• Extensive hands-on experience in integrating, instrumenting, testing, debugging, and characterizing physical hardware.
• Proficient in utilizing relevant laboratory equipment, data-acquisition systems, automated testing infrastructures, environmental test tools, diagnostic instruments, and structured failure-analysis methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and validating hardware in real-world product or manufacturing environments.
• Capability to articulate system decisions, integration trade-offs, test outcomes, root causes, and failure mechanisms.
