AI Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, VPs, clinical leaders, and operations managers to pinpoint high-value challenges and convert them into AI opportunities.

• Establish minimum viable AI solutions, map processes, identify chances to minimize friction and costs, and expedite decision-making.

• Generate scoping documents, ROI forecasts, and criteria for success.

• Design and develop AI prototypes within days utilizing Claude and contemporary AI development tools.

• Create full-stack AI applications that involve LLM orchestration, RAG, agentic workflows, REST API integrations, and streamlined front-end interfaces.

• Oversee technical architecture from prompt design through data pipelines and user interfaces.

• Refine prototypes using real user feedback and progress them toward production-quality standards.

• Leverage Claude for code generation, testing, documentation, and solution design.

• Collaborate with the AI Governance team to validate and strengthen prototypes for enterprise deployment.

• Implement responsible AI practices, encompassing bias reviews, explainability, HIPAA compliance, audit logging, and model monitoring.

• Document solutions for handover, scalability, and maintenance.

• Contribute reusable patterns to Brillio's AI accelerator library.

• Engage in sprint reviews, program steering committees, executive updates, live demonstrations, and client business rhythm meetings.

• Convey technical concepts to non-technical leaders and highlight blockers, dependencies, and risks.

• Develop in-depth knowledge of client workflows, data, competitive pressures, and regulatory environments.

• Foster trusted-advisor relationships with healthcare business counterparts.

• Share insights from client engagements with Brillio's applied AI community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in the healthcare industry, particularly direct hands-on experience in health insurance operations or clinical and operational workflows within health systems.

• Proven experience utilizing the Claude API as a development tool, including prompt engineering, tool application, and agentic patterns.

• Comprehensive full-stack AI engineering skills, inclusive of LLM integration, RAG, agentic orchestration, REST API development, and lightweight front-end interfaces.

• Established capability to transition from business discussions to functional AI prototypes within days.

• Proficient in articulating technical solutions, costs, and subsequent steps clearly to healthcare executives without the use of jargon.

• Comfortable participating in steering committees, executive briefings, and business rhythm meetings.

• Skilled in structuring ambiguous business challenges into defined AI opportunities with explicit inputs, outputs, and success criteria.

• Competent in constructing credible ROI and impact measurement business cases.

• Strong preference for hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar frameworks.

• Strong preference for familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, claims data structures, HIPAA, CMS regulations, and FDA digital health guidance.

• Strong preference for experience in forward-deployed, embedded roles, consulting, or startup engineering environments.

• Strong preference for experience delivering AI solutions in a health insurance technology company or health system.

• Strong preference for contributing to reusable AI platforms or accelerators.

• Strong preference for knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices, model risk management, bias evaluation, audit logging, and enterprise AI governance frameworks.
