System Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage Windows Server environments (2019 and newer), ensuring optimal stability, performance, and security.

• Administer VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V environments, including executing server migrations.

• Design, implement, and enhance Remote Desktop Services (RDS) across both on-premises and hybrid settings.

• Lead infrastructure projects, encompassing technical implementations, migrations, and optimizations.

• Provide Level 2 support, resolving complex incidents, identifying root causes, and applying sustainable solutions.

• Work collaboratively with customers and internal teams to coordinate technical initiatives and guarantee effective service delivery.

• Participate in an on-call rotation roughly 1-2 weeks per quarter.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or technical support.

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2019 and subsequent versions.

• Practical knowledge of VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.

• Familiarity with RDS, Level 2 support, and troubleshooting infrastructure issues.

• Participation in infrastructure projects, especially server migrations.

• Solid understanding of networking, VPNs, and firewalls.

• Proficient English communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a customer-oriented environment.

• B2 German language proficiency is a significant advantage.

• Experience with Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments is a plus.

• Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop and SQL is considered advantageous.

• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-800 and AZ-801 are preferred.
