Senior Logistics Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Spearhead strategic initiatives for supply chain integration to enhance automation, visibility, traceability, and overall operational efficiency.

• Formulate and implement a roadmap for supplier digital connectivity and standardization of processes.

• Act as a subject matter expert in supply chain systems, integrations, and digital capabilities.

• Oversee the comprehensive EDI implementation process involving around 25 suppliers.

• Conduct EDI testing, validation, issue resolution, and facilitate production deployment.

• Create implementation strategies, project plans, governance frameworks, and deployment timelines.

• Collaborate with internal and external resources for supplier onboarding and integration activities.

• Set up supplier compliance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Examine supply chain processes and design scalable system solutions.

• Convert business requirements into system and integration specifications.

• Lead process mapping, solution design workshops, and the development of future-state processes.

• Specify business-oriented system architecture requirements.

• Assess processes and suggest enhancements utilizing SAP, Ariba, EDI, automation, and analytics.

• Drive cross-functional integration among SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, SAP Ariba, SAP TM, EDI platforms, supplier portals, transportation and logistics systems, as well as manufacturing and traceability systems.

• Persuade senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders regarding priorities and solutions.

• Design data models and business intelligence frameworks.

• Collaborate with data engineering, business systems, and operational teams to enhance data availability and quality.

• Develop KPI frameworks for evaluating supplier performance, inventory health, logistics execution, and supply chain reliability.

• Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and provide executive updates.

• Mentor junior team members and aid in building organizational capabilities.

• Manage external consultants, vendors, and implementation partners as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Operations, or a related field.

• 8 to 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations Systems, ERP implementations, Digital Transformation, or Systems Integration roles.

• Over 5 years of experience leading cross-functional projects that involve enterprise systems and transformation of business processes.

• Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA and supply chain processes, including Procurement, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Manufacturing, and Logistics.

• Proven experience in leading EDI implementations and supplier onboarding processes.

• Background in designing business processes and converting operational requirements into system solutions.

• Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, reporting tools, and dashboard development.

• Experience with integration platforms, middleware solutions, APIs, and enterprise architecture.

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening required as a condition of hire.
