SVP, Software Development and Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead software engineering operations across AmeriSave technology teams.

• Formulate and implement a technology strategy that aligns with business goals.

• Supervise engineering leaders accountable for Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Enterprise Technology.

• Propel large-scale platform modernization and architectural projects.

• Create engineering standards, governance frameworks, and development best practices.

• Lead initiatives in AI, automation, and digital transformation.

• Collaborate closely with Executive Leadership to pinpoint strategic technology opportunities.

• Ensure scalability, security, compliance, and reliability across all technology platforms.

• Build and nurture high-performing engineering management teams.

• Promote delivery excellence, innovation, and operational efficiency throughout the organization.

• Assess emerging technologies and provide strategic investment recommendations.

• Manage engineering budget planning, resource allocation, and organizational growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of progressive experience in software engineering.

• More than 8 years in leadership roles within large engineering organizations.

• Demonstrated success in leading Directors, VPs, and Engineering Managers.

• Extensive hands-on experience with modern software architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, and microservices.

• Strong technical expertise in Java, TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, and enterprise application development.

• Proven experience in leading AI and automation initiatives.

• History of building highly scalable customer-facing and operational platforms.

• Evidence of aligning technology investments with quantifiable business results.

• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• High-speed internet connection required for remote work.

• Cable or Fiber ONLY, with the capability to connect via Ethernet.

• Minimum internet speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).

• Experience in mortgage, fintech, banking, or high-volume transaction environments.

• Experience leading remote and distributed engineering teams.

• MBA and/or advanced technical degree preferred.

• Familiarity with digital customer acquisition and marketing technology.
