This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the Product, Design, and AI Enablement teams by establishing strategy, setting priorities, defining decision rights, and determining the operating cadence.
• Transform insights on emerging technologies, behaviors, and opportunities into actionable product decisions and experiments.
• Collaborate with business leaders to convert company and functional goals into product opportunities, desired outcomes, and investment decisions.
• Elevate the standards of product management through clear expectations, effective coaching, and accountability measures.
• Develop a clear process to transition promising experiments into sustainable, supported products.
• Create a product operating model for assessing, prioritizing, and scaling AI-enabled ideas.
• Integrate local workflows, AI Enablement support, and durable products or shared capabilities across Axios.
• Assist in defining what Axios develops and how the company operates.
• Report directly to the CTO and act as a reliable partner to the CTO and senior leadership.
• Serve as a trusted partner to senior leaders, capable of challenging assumptions, articulating a clear perspective, making tough trade-offs, and driving decision-making processes.
• Possess a clear vision for the trajectory of product development and how Axios can thrive amidst the rapidly changing technology landscape.
• Exhibit demonstrated fluency in AI, including personal use of AI to enhance work efficiency, prototype ideas, and transform AI capabilities into practical products and workflows.
• Have significant senior product leadership experience in software, information services, media, or other dynamic environments.
• Proven ability to unite Product and Design teams effectively.
• Show technical fluency across product strategy, workflows, tools, data, and production trade-offs.
• Experience in prioritizing and managing portfolios across various stakeholders.
• A track record of converting prototypes and experiments into long-lasting, supported products.
• Possess the judgment to establish useful governance without creating bottlenecks.
• Ability to differentiate a significant product opportunity from an intriguing AI demonstration.
