This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +11 more states.
• Implement the strategy, development, and transactions for new multi-family housing projects and other housing and commercial infrastructure opportunities within the Military sector.
• Serve as the representative of partners’ asset and development management for new multi-family developments and other housing infrastructure initiatives.
• Provide continuous measurement, analysis, and verification services to enhance project optimization.
• Formulate and execute project-specific strategies for both existing and new multi-family housing developments.
• Work in collaboration with the Department of the Army to meet housing demands and deliver direct financial benefits to project companies.
• Comprehend partnership visions, contractual agreements, and designated roles and responsibilities; ensure accountability among parties.
• Identify and address performance gaps and challenges; develop corrective action plans and guide the thorough execution with operational teams.
• Supervise multiple intricate housing infrastructure growth objectives and maximize the effectiveness of business strategies.
• Pursue high-value opportunities, nurture partner relationships, conceptualize deals, and aim for successful awards.
• Create and uphold transition documents related to partnership governance, contractual relationships, and strategic alliances; engage in negotiations.
• Maintain operational and strategic oversight of partnerships and serve as a continuous resource for partners.
• Assess partner housing needs, capabilities, and market conditions to pinpoint and quantify expansion prospects.
• Oversee necessary ground lease modifications.
• Direct teams in the preparation of marketing and reporting materials for both internal and external use, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Manage meetings with clients, project companies, and both direct and indirect stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, legal, HR, IT, and subject matter experts to enhance partnership oversight and value.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is necessary; an MBA or advanced business-related degree is preferred.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in executing strategic initiatives that enhance profitability and broaden business opportunities in an established region or with existing clients.
• Prior experience with public-private partnerships, particularly with government entities, is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage business development timelines, delivery, and dependencies; experience in leading growth efforts for multimillion-dollar projects is highly preferred.
• Proven capability to analyze new client opportunities and devise business strategies at both the individual prospect level and the broader market sector.
• Exhibited ability to present highly technical information and distill complex concepts into impactful statements for diverse audiences and varying levels of sophistication.
• Demonstrated success in guiding stakeholders in large organizations through intricate transactions; familiarity with P3, government contracting, or M&A is preferred.
• A history of fostering strategic relationships aligned on goals and focused on delivering value for clients.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills essential for mitigating risks and resolving complex or unforeseen challenges within tight timelines and high client expectations.
• Demonstrated business acumen and financial expertise necessary for negotiating business terms, conducting due diligence, and evaluating growth opportunities.
• Proven track record in analyzing key business issues and identifying the root causes of challenges.
• Established ability to implement ideas and resolve differences in a way that strengthens relationships.
• Proven success in influencing others without hierarchical authority; preferred experience in leading multidisciplinary teams within a matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated capability to organize both individual and team activities to ensure high productivity and achievement of business goals.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all organizational levels, including negotiation and influence skills.
• Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
