Survey Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Collect field survey information utilizing GRS/robotic tools.

• Execute ALTA surveys.

• Compute and define legal descriptions for property boundaries.

• Use survey instruments and equipment for topographic, ALTA, boundary, construction, and various other projects.

• Identify and ascertain land by measuring and calculating points, elevations, lines, angles, areas, and contours.

• Operate in both indoor and outdoor settings, accommodating various weather conditions.

• Engage in activities such as sitting, typing, managing office and/or field equipment, and communicating; occasionally standing, walking, balancing, kneeling, or crouching.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.

• Previous experience with ALTA Surveys is preferred.

• Willingness to travel within the United States is required; expected travel is 1–2 weeks per trip.

• Self-motivated and resourceful individual.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in basic mathematics and land-surveying measurements, including linear, angular, elevation, and unit-system conversions.

• Capability to perform physical tasks and operate tools and equipment outdoors in diverse weather conditions.

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Capacity to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.

• Close vision and the ability to maintain focus.
