This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Provide support to surgical facilities and manage the overall IOL portfolio within designated accounts.
• Highlight product advantages and distinguish Alcon offerings from competitors through expert technical consultancy.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Tender, and Pricing teams to deliver customer solutions.
• Propel total IOL revenue and enhance market share within the territory.
• Speed up PCIOL market penetration.
• Facilitate the Accelerator program in selected accounts.
• Oversee tender requirements in coordination with internal teams.
• Partner with Customer Operations on consignment processes using MyAlcon360.
• Cultivate new business opportunities to meet sales objectives.
• Sustain and improve current customer relationships while managing interactions with key clients.
• Report on competitor activities through line management.
• Maintain and promote a positive company image.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in optometry, orthoptics, science, or business.
• 2–3 years of experience in customer-facing positions within a surgical setting or other relevant sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of ophthalmic procedures, product technology, and sales to the medical field.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing business plans, setting goals, and fostering team development.
• Experience in performance management.
• Strong eagerness and capability to acquire technical knowledge.
• Extensive understanding of all IOLs and the ability to detail the complete IOL product range.
• Capacity to competitively position Clareon against modified/advanced monofocals.
• Exceptional technical and interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Customer-focused mindset with robust customer relationship management skills.
• Strong logical and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Solid business decision-making skills grounded in data, fairness, and consistency.
• Familiarity with CRM applications such as Salesforce is preferred.
