Surgical Equipment Repair Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Deliver cost-efficient maintenance for both company-owned and customer-owned medical equipment at a designated fixed site.

• Conduct operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair services.

• Assess and test general surgery instruments.

• Disassemble faulty equipment and remove, repair, or replace defective components.

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, parts, and repairs.

• Clean, lubricate, and adjust instruments during preventive maintenance activities.

• Oversee the development of proposal maintenance programs utilizing company methods and models.

• Manage equipment pick-up, delivery, quotation communication, repair-status tracking, and the delivery of completed repairs.

• Interact with customers regarding the status of their repairs.

• Collaborate with leadership to organize periodic performance evaluations.

• Execute additional tasks essential for the effective functioning of the department and the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Basic computer proficiency is necessary.

• Experience with medical equipment in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.

• Excellent near-sighted vision and the ability to differentiate colors.

• Willingness to travel to various locations in the Denver area to meet business needs and objectives.

• Capability to sit on a work stool, stand, bend, and have precise hand dexterity to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects, with or without accommodations.

• Ability to safely operate a sprinter-style vehicle.

• Proficiency in using digital calipers, grinding wheels, soldering irons, sand blasters, Dremel-style tools, torches, and test equipment, requiring good hand-eye coordination.

• On-the-job training will be provided as part of the onboarding process for this role.
