This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Identify and procure electrical, electronic, and electromechanical goods and services from vendors.
β’ Initiate and assess Requests for Quotations and Proposals.
β’ Evaluate proposed pricing from prospective suppliers.
β’ Assess and monitor supplier quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities in collaboration with the quality organization.
β’ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure product and service specifications meet requirements.
β’ Discover opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and risk management through effective negotiations.
β’ Issue and oversee purchase orders.
β’ Ensure adherence to public law requirements, and comply with company and business policies, procedures, and import/export regulations.
β’ Evaluate supplier performance and implement sound business practices.
β’ Provide necessary documentation to logistics, transportation, and warehouse teams for accurate receipt recording.
β’ Review and authorize supplier payments as necessary.
β’ Utilize Lean Six Sigma process tools with suppliers to enhance quality, efficiency, and foster continuous improvement.
β’ Travel occasionally to Northrop Grumman locations.
β’ Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, or a related discipline along with 2+ years of relevant procurement experience, OR a master's degree in supply chain, business, or finance, OR a high school diploma with 6+ years of relevant procurement experience.
β’ Experience with various contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable.
β’ Familiarity with special payment provisions, such as progress- or performance-based payments.
β’ Understanding of the proposal process, pricing guidelines, terms and conditions, and adequacy of supplier proposals.
β’ Exceptional leadership, communication, and writing abilities.
β’ Skills in risk mitigation and problem-solving.
β’ Eligible to obtain and retain a DoD Secret clearance.
β’ U.S. citizenship is required.
β’ Proficiency in Word and Excel is preferred.
β’ Experience with Costpoint, Cognos, and SharePoint is preferred.
β’ Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting, FAR, DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards, and DCAA audit procedures is preferred.
β’ ASCM or APICS Certification is preferred.
