This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +1 more state.
β’ Oversee multiple locations for a significant customer or a variety of customer accounts with an operating revenue ranging from approximately $8M to $11M.
β’ Enhance services offered to clients and design as well as execute customer performance metrics.
β’ Support business development efforts and assist in launching new locations.
β’ Lead, mentor, and direct Logistics Managers, Senior Logistics Managers, and/or Group Logistics Managers.
β’ Hold accountability for profit and loss for designated accounts.
β’ Recognize and address operational challenges through ongoing improvement and LEAN methodologies.
β’ Manage customer accounts to achieve predefined metrics and performance standards.
β’ Cultivate customer relationships and pinpoint opportunities for business expansion.
β’ Ensure that financial goals are achieved and revenue is increased for assigned accounts.
β’ Supervise, nurture, and manage employee performance while fostering positive employee relations.
β’ Recruit, train, oversee, and mentor direct reports and management teams.
β’ Uphold a proactive safety program in alignment with company policies.
β’ Manage P&L statements and execute corrective measures as necessary.
β’ Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or an equivalent of two (2) additional years of relevant work experience is required.
β’ A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in the supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or a related industry is required.
β’ At least five (5) years of experience managing, leading, and developing direct reports is required.
β’ A minimum of four (4) years of proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive logistics solutions and project management skills is required.
β’ Two (2) years or more of customer interaction experience is required.
β’ Two (2) years or more of managing customer KPIs is required.
β’ Strong problem-solving abilities; formal experience with Root Cause Countermeasure Systems is preferred.
β’ Exceptional oral and written communication skills, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
β’ Solid organizational, analytical, and computer skills.
β’ Proven knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations/solutions, distribution, transportation, and carrier management at a strategic level is preferred.
β’ Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
β’ Advanced understanding of OSHA requirements; knowledge of DOT and Hazmat regulations as relevant to the accounts is required.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Lean principles, systems, and tools is required.
β’ Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships across all levels of the organization.
β’ Capability to create and foster an inclusive and engaged work environment.
β’ Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
β’ Flexibility to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Proficiency in multitasking, organization, time management, attention to detail, and follow-up practices.
β’ Experience managing large multi-level teams, P&L responsibilities, leading teams within a LEAN work setting, delivering presentations to customers and senior management, sales experience, and multi-client experience is preferred.
β’ Willingness to travel 40β50% is required.
