Supply Chain Manager, Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the flow of materials, components, and finished products throughout manufacturing and clinical operations.

• Strategize inventory management and optimize stock levels, carrying costs, and storage expenses.

• Choose and implement inventory management tools and establish reporting schedules.

• Define and take ownership of inventory performance indicators.

• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to create and maintain the master production and supply plan.

• Identify potential supply risks and develop dual-sourcing or contingency strategies.

• Coordinate kitting, fulfillment, and returns for HST devices, PAP machines, and accessories.

• Oversee international logistics for customer orders across the EU, UK, US, and Australia.

• Take responsibility for landed shipping costs, assess carriers and freight forwarders, and renegotiate contracts.

• Manage Incoterms, customs classifications, denied-party/export screening, and other trade compliance responsibilities.

• Analyze and mitigate customs and duties exposure on EU-manufactured devices entering the US.

• Provide shipping cost reports per device or shipment to the executive team.

• Manage relationships with US 3PLs, including contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), performance evaluations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and escalations.

• Oversee the operational interface between 3PLs and internal systems, including order processing, inventory synchronization, and returns management.

• Negotiate and manage procurement contracts for raw materials, components, and finished goods for clinics.

• Handle vendor selection, pricing negotiations, and supplier contract terms.

• Maintain supplier performance scorecards and drive the renewal and renegotiation processes.

• Execute supplier qualifications, maintain the approved supplier list, and manage quality agreements in collaboration with Quality and Regulatory teams.

• Ensure lot/UDI traceability from raw materials to finished products and shipped units.

• Document procurement and logistics activities to ensure inspection and audit preparedness.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality/Regulatory, Finance, Dreem Health clinical operations, Customer/Patient Care, freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PLs, and hardware suppliers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management, with direct responsibility for inventory planning and carrier/3PL relationships.

• Proven history of reducing shipping and logistics costs at a company involved in international shipping of physical goods, ideally between the EU and the US.

• Experience managing 3PL relationships in the US, including contracting, SLA oversight, and performance assessments.

• Familiarity with import/customs processes for goods moving from the EU to international markets (US, UK, AU).

• Hands-on experience with an ERP/MRP system (demand planning, inventory, production scheduling modules) as a super-user or functional owner, not merely as an end user.

• Ability to build processes and tools from a low-maturity starting point instead of optimizing an existing mature system.

• Full professional fluency in English.

• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or similarly regulated hardware) with knowledge of ISO 13485, EU MDR, and/or cGMP as it pertains to supply chain and procurement.

• Direct experience in procurement and purchase contract negotiations with hardware manufacturers or raw material suppliers.

• Familiarity with reverse logistics and return programs.

• Proficiency in French is preferred.
