Supply Chain Controllership Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct the Supply Chain Controllership function that supports global manufacturing and supply chain operations.

• Supervise inventory accounting, manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, logistics accounting, compensation and benefits accounting, capital investment accounting, and financial controls within the supply chain.

• Formulate and implement the controllership strategy for manufacturing, inventory, procurement, logistics, and distribution.

• Create a vision, operating model, and talent strategy for the Supply Chain Controllership organization.

• Build and nurture a high-performing team through coaching, succession planning, and performance management.

• Establish uniform accounting policies, governance, and scalable processes.

• Ensure precise accounting and valuation for inventory, which includes raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, spare parts, and obsolete inventory under U.S. GAAP.

• Oversee the development of standard costs and the annual cost roll processes.

• Track manufacturing variances, such as purchase price, production, labor efficiency, material usage, scrap, yield, freight, and overhead absorption.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

• Guarantee accurate reporting of inventory, cost of goods sold, manufacturing variances, fixed assets, reserves, freight, and logistics expenses.

• Assist with external reporting and SEC disclosures, including DISE disclosures.

• Implement Lean principles to standardize and enhance processes continually.

• Foster innovation utilizing ERP tools, analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital resources.

• Improve closing timelines while maintaining quality and control.

• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Operations, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Executive Leadership, Internal Audit, and external auditors.

• Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls and ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, corporate policies, and regulatory standards.

• Drive the remediation of audit findings and promote process improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in supply chain accounting or other areas of controllership.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in Electrification supply chain controllership activities.

• Experience in managing finance operations across multiple countries/entities.

• Ability to document processes and standard operating procedures.

• Process mapping/VSM experience is preferred.

• Strong data analysis capabilities.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is an advantage.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Highly developed analytical problem-solving skills.

• Capacity to collaborate across various finance structures.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.

• Experience in team management.

• Proficient in analyzing and resolving issues.

• Capability to lead programs and projects.

• Proven project management skills.

• BPSS clearance is required and must be maintained.
