This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Oversee, sustain, and refresh supply chain contract documentation, data, and systems.
• Enhance contract utilization for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and local agreements to achieve high penetration rates.
• Discover opportunities through data analysis to ensure pricing accuracy and supplier performance.
• Execute initiatives aimed at achieving cost savings.
• Aid in formulating the contracting strategy and support the contract negotiation process.
• Manage contracts related to supply, services, and capital, tracking implementation spending through to renewal management.
• Plan, award, and manage contracts for goods and services under independent delegated authority.
• Collaborate with surgical and integrated clinical services personnel to assist in procurement, contracting, and accounts payable operations.
• Spot savings opportunities and create a prioritized pipeline.
• Provide documentation for initiatives to the Service Line Category Management Committees.
• Cultivate and maintain client relationships while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Support compliance, item information, and pricing accuracy in item master, contract management, and GPO systems.
• Develop and manage contract and bid calendars.
• Collect data and customer feedback for supplier scorecards and business reviews.
• Oversee the Supply Chain-owned contracting process, including redlines, edits, signature routing, and contract storage.
• Identify best practices for significant contracts while managing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist in long-term procurement and contracting strategies and implement related procedures and systems.
• Coordinate client requirements, draft technical specifications, suggest technical assistance, and promote product standardization.
• Analyze bids for multi-commodity purchasing contracts and complicated product procurement.
• Summarize and audit vendor responses and communicate selections to relevant parties.
• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Communications, or a related field of study.
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• An equivalent combination of work and academic experience may be considered: six years of related work experience OR an Associate degree coupled with four years of related work experience.
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain functional areas.
• Familiarity with the contract review process and redlining procedures.
• Capability to identify and address purchasing and contract issues.
• Awareness of GPO benchmarking and other healthcare supply chain tools.
• Ability to collaborate with hospital administrative departments, clinicians, and hospital executives.
• Proficiency in using metrics to inform decision-making.
• Competence in effectively resolving complex issues and managing multiple high-priority deliverables.
• Ability to stay updated on technological and market developments in assigned commodity areas.
