Global Supply Chain Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute extensive global supply chain strategies that align with the company's goals and international footprint.

• Oversee and coordinate procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution across various locations.

• Recognize and address risks within the global supply chain.

• Propel continuous enhancements to boost efficiency, lower costs, and elevate service levels on a global scale.

• Build and nurture partnerships with suppliers and vendors around the world.

• Negotiate contracts and agreements on an international level.

• Assess supplier performance and implement necessary corrective measures.

• Develop processes for supplier qualification and audits to ensure adherence to international standards and regulations.

• Assemble and lead a high-performing, diverse supply chain team.

• Offer coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities across global offices.

• Cultivate a cooperative and inclusive workplace culture.

• Establish performance benchmarks and conduct regular assessments.

• Supervise inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.

• Guarantee timely and precise product delivery to customers around the globe.

• Apply best practices in supply chain management, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Leverage data analytics and advanced technologies for informed decision-making and process enhancements.

• Ensure compliance with international regulations, standards, and certifications, including ISO and FDA requirements.

• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold product quality and reliability.

• Develop and implement quality control measures throughout the global supply chain.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• At least 15 years of experience in supply chain management, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position overseeing global operations.

• In-depth knowledge of global supply chain best practices, encompassing procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

• Experience in the medical device manufacturing sector is highly preferred.

• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities with a global perspective.

• Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement on an international level.

• Capability to think strategically while executing tactically in a global environment.

• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools relevant to international operations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a global viewpoint.

• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
