This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ Oversee the entire operational procurement process from purchase recommendations to the receipt of goods.
β’ Convert monthly sales and inventory plans into timely, complete orders that adhere to agreed quality standards.
β’ Manage orders for finished goods, components, packaging, and point-of-sale materials.
β’ Guide manufacturers in Asia and Europe through the stages of order confirmation, production, pre-shipment quality inspections, and shipping documentation.
β’ Address delays proactively and devise effective solutions.
β’ Assess supplier performance using a scorecard that evaluates on-time delivery, quality, and response times.
β’ Maintain accurate bills of materials, specifications, and item master data.
β’ Coordinate advance payments and payment deadlines in collaboration with Finance.
β’ Ensure the acquisition of complete certificates and declarations of conformity.
β’ Continuously enhance standards, controls, and automation for suppliers and components.
β’ Leverage tools and AI to boost operational efficiency.
β’ Report directly to the COO.
β’ Several years of experience in operational procurement with manufacturers in Asia.
β’ Preferably, experience working for a consumer goods brand that supplies retail partners.
β’ Diligent approach and systematic error prevention prior to the release of purchase orders.
β’ Ability to effectively manage suppliers across different time zones.
β’ Proficient in advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
β’ Fluent in German and possess very good English skills.
β’ Ideally, experience with components in the beauty, cosmetics, or FMCG sectors.
β’ Preferably, experience with ERP systems and/or demand and supply planning, including purchase order workflows and master data management.
β’ Ideally, experience with pre-shipment inspections and/or quality control service providers.
β’ 100% remote work within Germany, with an optional office located in Berlin.
