Supply Chain Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Initiate and monitor purchase orders until delivery is completed

• Follow up with suppliers regarding order confirmations and delivery schedules

• Keep supplier records, pricing information, and lead time data updated

• Assist in demand and stock planning with accurate reporting

• Address delivery shortages and invoice discrepancies with suppliers

• Ensure supply chain documentation is well-organized and easily traceable

• Provide support to the supply chain team within a UK-based business

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in purchasing, supply chain management, or order administration

• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting purposes

• Comfortable reaching out to suppliers via email and phone

• Keen attention to detail regarding quantities, prices, and dates

• Systematic approach to managing a large volume of open orders

• Familiarity with an ERP system such as SAP, NetSuite, or Sage

• Understanding of lead times and reorder thresholds

• Knowledge of import or freight documentation processes
