Supply and Logistics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist the Supply & Logistics Project Manager in formulating and implementing study-specific supply chain strategies, which encompass sourcing, distribution tactics, and technical oversight for Clinical Trial Supply and Logistics initiatives.

• Execute supply chain operations to ensure client satisfaction while delivering projects/programs punctually, within budget, adhering to the highest quality standards, and in compliance with ICH GCP and GxP regulations.

• Implement the Clinical Trial Supply & Logistics strategy for the assigned project.

• Collaborate with the Supply & Logistics Project Manager to devise logistics concepts and solutions.

• Track study scope and progress to meet deadlines and financial targets, proactively managing and communicating any changes and associated risks.

• Ensure that management tools and documentation specific to the study are established and maintained.

• Oversee assigned project resources, ensuring that Clinical Trial Supply & Logistics staffing aligns with study requirements.

• Manage pass-through costs, including oversight and reporting for internal service fees and external service providers.

• Work in partnership with stakeholders to create clinical supply, sourcing, and distribution strategies, along with the necessary documentation.

• Liaise with third-party providers and negotiate the scope of work in collaboration with procurement.

• Develop and strategize inventory based on requirements, quantities, and forecasts.

• Create supply schedules, gather feedback from the Clinical team regarding study progress, adjust schedules as needed, and relay feedback to depots.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements.

• Mentor Clinical Supply Specialists and Clinical Supply Assistants.

• In-depth experience in clinical logistics or a related field within the biopharmaceutical industry.

• Previous project management experience.

• Strong comprehension of cross-functional activities.

• Significant multinational work experience.

• Proficiency in English.

• Educated to a B.A./B.S. or Master’s degree, or equivalent (e.g., Pharm. D.), in biology, pharmacy, or another health-related discipline, international trade, business administration, logistics, or relevant work experience.
