Logistics Solutions Specialist II – Logistics Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee logistics strategies, documentation, and compliance for increasingly complex clinical trial projects.

• Assist with study setup, maintenance, and execution.

• Manage a portfolio consisting of 20–40 complex studies.

• Collaborate with Setup Managers, Strategic Client Managers, Project Managers, Sponsors, Contract Research Organizations, carriers, and other external partners.

• Address logistics queries and concerns from Project Management.

• Act as the primary logistics contact for Project Management and Client Services.

• Investigate shipping-lane feasibility and suggest transit strategies.

• Produce site-instruction documents and Starter Packs with selected carriers.

• Develop and implement logistics and customs compliance strategies and processes.

• Prepare and manage pro-forma and shipment-specific invoices across partners, vendors, and regions.

• Oversee logistics documentation for transporting materials and biological specimens across global borders, including facilitating site/country signatures.

• Analyze and interpret international carrier and logistics-solution performance data.

• Maintain processes for daily transactions to ensure timely product movement.

• Take on additional responsibilities within the Logistics Team as needed.

• Participate in investigations and corrective/preventive actions for logistics-related Quality Events.


⛳️ Requirements

• A BS or MS in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred; a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

• A minimum of 4 years of industry-related logistics experience in managing clinical studies is required.

• Preference for candidates with experience managing complex clinical studies.

• Required knowledge of international supply chain processes, carriers, third-party logistics companies, forwarders, couriers, and transportation performance metrics.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously under tight deadlines.

• Strong communication skills are essential.

• Must be capable of working independently.

• Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills are necessary.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, positive attitude are crucial.

• Full fluency in English is required.

• Strong mathematical skills are essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP software is necessary.

• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry is preferred.

• Experience in leading and mentoring others is preferred.
