This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
β’ Oversee supplier development and support key suppliers in achieving quality assurance.
β’ Assist suppliers in reaching optimal quality and adhering to industrial excellence standards.
β’ Offer technical guidance in process development, capacity planning, and inventory management.
β’ Facilitate Value Stream Analysis and Kaizen events with essential suppliers.
β’ Propel process and systemic quality enhancements at designated supplier locations utilizing lean and quality tools.
β’ Confirm improvements through established metrics aimed at reducing defects and enhancing on-time delivery.
β’ Work collaboratively with Project Quality, Engineering, and suppliers to address issues effectively.
β’ Lead cross-functional teams to resolve significant issues at supplier sites.
β’ Evaluate commodity, quality systems, NCR, CoPQ, DPPM, and DMR data to identify patterns and suggest performance improvement initiatives.
β’ Assist in training internal staff and other departments on Supplier Lean Improvements and Standard Work methodologies.
β’ Implement GE Vernova Supplier Development Procedures, Processes, and work instructions across the region.
β’ Aid in the review of processes and procedures alongside continuous improvement initiatives.
β’ A bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or a related field from an accredited university or college (applicable to US-based candidates only).
β’ 3β5 years of pertinent experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing Operations, or related areas.
β’ Familiarity with APQP, problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and PDCA methodologies.
β’ Demonstrated experience in lean practices, including leading Kaizen events.
β’ Proficient in lean tools such as VSM, A3 Thinking, Gauge R&R, SMED, 5S, Daily Management Systems or Visual Management, Standard Work, Leader Standard Work, and Pull Systems.
β’ Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality registration.
β’ Strong communication skills.
β’ Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
β’ Proficiency in English as a primary or secondary language.
β’ Developing expertise in quality/process within commodities.
β’ Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AI tools.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
β’ Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
