This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the installation, assembly, dismantling, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery.
• Work with complex precision machinery, such as high-speed sorters, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, bearings, and compressors.
• Oversee the fitting of bearings, alignment of gears and wheels, attachment of motors, and connection of belts in accordance with manufacturer blueprints and drawings.
• Supervise the dismantling of machinery utilizing hand tools.
• Oversee the unloading, inspection, movement, and positioning of equipment utilizing cranes, hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Supervise the rigging and hoisting devices to position equipment and materials appropriately.
• Manage a team of up to 200 personnel.
• Support inventory management and documentation through a digital application.
• Occasionally oversee and evaluate the work of journeymen, helpers, and laborers.
• Work Monday through Friday for over 40 hours weekly, with a willingness to work 7 days a week.
• Travel may be required up to 100% of the time.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in mechanical installations.
• Must fulfill all physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
• Experience with industrial hand tools and power tools is essential.
• OSHA 10 certification or higher is required.
• Technical education or relevant experience is necessary.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Willingness to work 7 days a week, as necessary.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, and technical manuals.
• Capability to obtain mandatory local badging as required by the customer or general contractor at the assignment location.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Possess journeymen hand tools.
• Working knowledge of cables, ropes, hoists, and chains.
• Understanding of mathematical concepts, geometry, and layout.
• Strong reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capacity to work in all weather conditions and endure frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and high noise levels.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Preferred: Experience as a mechanic on a new conveyor construction project.
