This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Interact with customers to gain insights into their substation assets, operational settings, maintenance practices, challenges, and future needs.
• Discover and cultivate opportunities related to substation optimization, maintenance, modernization, monitoring, and lifecycle services.
• Assist the front-end sales team in qualifying opportunities and determining necessary steps for progression.
• Establish trusted working relationships with customer technical and operational stakeholders.
• Leverage technical expertise in substation equipment and systems to identify customer needs and potential service opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams during customer interactions and site visits.
• Convert technical discussions and customer challenges into commercially viable opportunities and value propositions for customers.
• Aid in proposals, pipeline opportunities, and sales activities from initial engagement through to order completion.
• Grasp customers’ maintenance and operational strategies, asset age, and needs for lifecycle or modernization.
• Engage in customer meetings, site visits, industry events, and trade shows.
• Work with internal technical specialists and assessment resources to devise suitable solutions.
• Disseminate customer insights, market intelligence, and opportunities with the broader sales and service team.
• Keep accurate opportunity records and assist in the development and forecasting of the sales pipeline.
• Travel frequently throughout the United States to support customer engagements and opportunities.
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work in the United States.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience (10+ years).
• Over 10 years of relevant experience in the substation, electrical infrastructure, power systems, or related sectors.
• Strong technical comprehension of substation assets, systems, operations, maintenance, or lifecycle management.
• Experience in a customer-facing role involving substations, ideally within operations & maintenance, field services, engineering services, technical sales, or service sales.
• Commercial experience in identifying customer needs, developing opportunities, and supporting the sales process from initial engagement to proposal and order.
• Relevant experience in selling or supporting the sale of substation services, maintenance, modernization, optimization, monitoring, or related solutions.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and relationship-building capabilities.
• Proven ability to navigate customer challenges, identify suitable next steps, and advance complex opportunities.
• Experience with utility, industrial, data center, oil & gas, renewable energy, or other significant electrical infrastructure customers is an advantage.
• Previous work experience with a substation equipment, service, maintenance, engineering, or electrical infrastructure provider is highly preferred.
• Willingness and capability to travel extensively across the United States, with occasional international travel as needed.
• Strong presentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
