This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Manage and expand a team of engineers and designers specialized in substations.

• Establish and nurture relationships with clients in utilities, renewable energy, and industrial sectors.

• Oversee substation projects from the initial planning and design phases to construction support.

• Provide technical guidance and ensure quality assurance/control.

• Collaborate with regional leadership to enhance business growth and discover new opportunities.

• Promote technical excellence, quality, safety, and innovation throughout all projects.

• Lead initiatives focused on recruitment, career development, and team engagement.

• Work in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams within AECOM’s Energy division.

• Execute transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and grid modernization projects across North and South America.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a leadership or practice-building role, or a proven equivalency of experience and education.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Significant experience in substation engineering.

• Proven track record in managing projects, clients, and technical teams.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

• Preferred: PE license in multiple states.

• Visa sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future.
