This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Direct and expand a team of engineers and designers specializing in substations.

• Guide, mentor, and foster the professional growth of team members.

• Establish and maintain relationships with utility, renewable energy, and industrial clients.

• Assist in substation projects from the planning and design phase through to construction support.

• Ensure technical oversight and quality assurance/control (QA/QC).

• Collaborate with regional leadership to enhance business growth and uncover new opportunities.

• Promote technical excellence, safety, quality, and innovation throughout projects.

• Oversee recruitment, career advancement, and team engagement initiatives.

• Work in partnership with multidisciplinary teams within AECOM’s Energy practice.

• Execute transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and grid modernization projects throughout North and South America.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 12 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a leadership or practice-building role, or a demonstrated equivalent of experience/education.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Extensive background in substation engineering is essential.

• Proven experience in managing projects, clients, and technical teams.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

• Preference for PE licensure in multiple states.

• Visa sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not currently available and will not be in the future.
