This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of engineers and designers specializing in substations.

• Execute projects related to transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and grid modernization.

• Establish and nurture relationships with clients in utility, renewable energy, and industrial sectors.

• Assist in substation projects from the planning and design phases through to construction support.

• Offer technical oversight and ensure quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).

• Collaborate with regional leadership to expand the business and discover new opportunities.

• Promote technical excellence, quality, safety, and innovation throughout all projects.

• Oversee recruitment, career advancement, and team engagement initiatives.

• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams within AECOM's Energy practice.

• Expand the substation team and enhance AECOM's footprint in the energy and power markets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a leadership or practice-building role, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Significant experience in substation engineering is essential.

• Proven experience managing projects, clients, and technical teams.

• Preference for PE licensure in multiple states.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.

• Dedication to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

• Visa sponsorship for employment authorization in the U.S. is not available now or in the future.

• Attendance at in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office is required.
