This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct procurement and supplier management for U.S. Government and commercial domestic and international subcontracts.

• Administer substantial FFP and cost-type subcontracts ranging from $10K to over $100M.

• Oversee sourcing and procurement processes from initial development to production and final contract closure.

• Manage both tactical and strategic relationships with suppliers.

• Monitor incoming material supplies to support MRP and independent demand.

• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams, Engineering, Production Control, Operations, Material Program Managers, and Program Office.

• Formulate supply chain strategies and alternatives.

• Address uniquely complex issues using creativity, ingenuity, and innovation.

• Conduct risk analysis and devise mitigation strategies.

• Lead supplier organization teams and act as the primary contact for subcontractor performance.

• Create RFPs and assess the adequacy of requirements flow-down.

• Develop negotiation strategies and lead multifunctional negotiation teams.

• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contractual conditions.

• Place and manage purchase orders effectively.

• Execute Earned Value Management, monitor milestones, assess completions, and perform trend analysis.

• Conduct price analysis as needed.

• Coordinate and manage High-Risk Supplier Management and the Enterprise Supplier Risk Tool processes.

• Support capture and proposal initiatives and implement and manage subcontracts for program execution.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least five (5) years of experience.

• Experience with direct ownership of DoD procurement and subcontracts.

• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS regulations.

• Proven track record in negotiating price reductions and terms and conditions.

• Understanding of risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning.

• Experience in Six Sigma methodologies and productivity enhancement.

• Background in awarding and managing cost-type subcontracts.

• Knowledge of Special Program Access Systems.

• Experience in developing and presenting information to key stakeholders.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Capability to work remotely in a U.S.-based position.
