This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute procurement and supplier management for U.S. Government as well as commercial domestic and international subcontracts.

• Oversee substantial fixed-price and cost-type subcontracts ranging from $10K to $100M or more.

• Manage sourcing and procurement processes from initial development through production and final contract closure.

• Cultivate both tactical and strategic relationships with suppliers.

• Monitor incoming material supply to facilitate MRP and independent demand.

• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams, Engineering, Production Control, Operations, Material Program Managers, and Program Office.

• Formulate supply chain strategies, alternatives, and solutions for complex challenges.

• Conduct risk analysis and create mitigation strategies.

• Lead the supplier organization team and act as the primary contact for subcontractor performance.

• Prepare RFPs and assess the adequacy of requirements flow-down.

• Develop negotiation strategies and lead multifunctional negotiation teams.

• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contractual agreements.

• Place and manage purchase orders effectively.

• Oversee Earned Value Management, milestone tracking, completion assessments, and trend analysis.

• Conduct price analysis.

• Coordinate and manage High-Risk Supplier Management and Enterprise Supplier Risk Tool processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least eight (8) years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree in a related field with at least five (5) years of experience.

• Proven experience in direct DoD procurement and subcontract ownership.

• Familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations.

• Experience in negotiating price reductions and terms and conditions.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Capability to obtain and retain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

• Active and existing DoD TS/SCI security clearance required from day one.

• Knowledge in risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning.

• Experience with Six Sigma and initiatives focused on productivity improvement.

• Expertise in awarding and managing cost-type subcontracts.

• Familiarity with Special Program Access Systems.

• Experience in developing and presenting to key stakeholders.
