Studies Engineer – Power Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct power system analyses, including short circuit, arc flash, load flow, transient overvoltage, and harmonics.

• Assist owners of wind, solar, and BESS generators with system studies.

• Employ PSSE, ETAP, EasyPower, PSCAD, and various other software tools.

• Leverage Python scripting to streamline processes effectively.

• Contribute to the creation of procedures for new study areas.

• Identify and facilitate business development opportunities.

• Complete assigned tasks independently while managing workload efficiently.

• Collaborate with colleagues, management, clients, and external organizations.

• Utilize emerging technologies and AI tools to improve workflows and resolve issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is necessary.

• At least 4 years of experience specifically related to power systems.

• Proficiency in programming with Python is preferred.

• Experience conducting power system studies using PSSE, ETAP, EasyPower, PSCAD, and other software packages is essential.

• EIT status and a willingness to pursue PE certification are preferred.

• Must possess authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

• Capability to independently complete assigned tasks.

• Ability to effectively manage personal workload.
