Lead Engineer, Electrical Power Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical project manager and system integrator for medium and high voltage power supply projects.

• Create power supply concepts tailored for steel manufacturing facilities and rolling mills.

• Design and develop single-line diagrams for plant power supply systems.

• Determine the appropriate sizes for distribution transformers.

• Choose medium and high voltage switchgear and cables.

• Formulate SCADA protection concepts for substations.

• Engineer substation secondary circuits, including both basic and detailed engineering.

• Conduct analyses on power systems such as harmonics, short-circuit, and load-flow.

• Collaborate with customers to align developed concepts with their needs.

• Assist with pre-project management, sales initiatives, and routine business operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in high and medium voltage distribution systems, emphasizing the design of MV/HV substations.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the design of MV/HV substations.

• Proficiency in design tools such as ETAP, EPLAN, SINCAL, MATLAB SIMULINK, or similar software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in German.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience in sizing STATCOM or harmonic filters is highly valued.

• Familiarity with relay settings and coordination calculations is highly regarded.
