Senior Electrical Engineer, Server Hardware

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Oversee schematic design, component selection, and power-tree definition for intricate server and data-center boards.

• Establish system architecture, define high-speed interface requirements, power delivery strategies, and thermal/mechanical constraints.

• Create boards and systems that support CPUs, accelerators, memory subsystems, high-speed I/O, and advanced power architectures.

• Collaborate with Taiwan ODMs on design evaluations, issue resolution, schedule alignment, and readiness for manufacturing.

• Facilitate customer technical discussions, gather requirements, and engage in design-in activities.

• Work alongside SI/PI teams on PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, UCIe, CPO, and other high-speed link technologies.

• Direct board bring-up, debugging, and system-level validation utilizing oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.

• Collaborate with packaging, SI/PI, firmware, and mechanical teams to produce integrated systems.

• Lead DFM/DFT reviews, assist with factory builds, and address production challenges with ODM partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in board design and system-level hardware development.

• Strong expertise in server, data-center, or high-performance computing platforms.

• Proficient in schematic capture, power architecture, and high-speed digital design.

• Experience collaborating directly with Taiwan ODMs (such as Quanta, Wistron, Inventec, Foxconn, etc.).

• Familiarity with PCIe, CXL, DDR, Ethernet, CPO, and other high-speed interfaces.

• Practical experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.

• Capability to lead cross-functional technical discussions with customers and partners.

• Understanding of SI/PI fundamentals is advantageous.

• Experience with server-class power delivery (including VRMs, multiphase regulators) is a plus.

• Authorization to work in Taiwan.
